Situated along the Arghandab river at over 1,000 metres above the sea, Kandahar has a hot, semi-arid, almost desert-like climate. Sometimes considered Afghanistan's de facto capital, the region is an important centre for trade and agriculture, producing fruit, tobacco, and excellent weed. For centuries, Kandahari growers have been cultivating unique landrace plants that preserve genetics you won't find anywhere else. Coming from only the best local specimens, Kandahar regular seeds by the Afghan Seed Connection make these ancient plants available to growers everywhere.

Pop these seeds and you'll be growing vibrant, vigorous male and female plants in no time. Having adapted to the hot, arid climate of Kandahar, these plants love full sun and cool flowering temperatures. While the females obviously produce mouthwatering buds, don't be so quick to discard Kandahari cannabis males—with strong branches, fast growth, and excellent resin production, they deserve a seat in any serious breeder's genetic stock. On average, Kandahar plants grow 150–250 cm tall and develop large, deep-green fan leaves and strong branches. Females are typically harvested between October and November, producing 500–600 g of top-shelf indica bud.
Kandahari cannabis is regarded as some of Afghanistan's finest, and for good reason. These hardy plants produce perfectly stacked indica flowers with deep green calyxes, bright orange pistils, and snow-white trichomes. Thanks to the arid local climate and rich soil along the Arghandab river bed, these plants have developed unique terpenes with upfront notes of toasted coffee, wood, and moist soil highlighted by hints of green apples and blueberries.
