Hemper Blue Whale: A Novelty Shape Built to Last
The Blue Whale Hand Pipe takes the classic spoon-style hand pipe and turns it into a whale, complete with a whale tail mouthpiece that curls up at the end. It's the kind of piece that gets picked up and looked at before anyone even packs a bowl. At 10 cm, it sits easily in a pocket or bag, and it looks just as at home sitting out on a shelf between sessions.
Under the playful shape, this is thick borosilicate glass, the same material you'd expect from a piece built to survive regular handling rather than sit in a drawer. Borosilicate holds up to knocks better than standard glass and keeps the smoothness in the glass clean over time, so the whale-body shaping isn't just for looks. The one thing to keep in mind: it's still glass, so it won't take a hard drop onto tile the way a silicone pipe would. Where a plain silicone spoon wins on toughness, this one wins on personality and a bowl-to-mouthpiece feel that's harder to find in more generic glass pipes.
