Microppose - Monotub Hole Plugs: Create the Perfect Environment for Your Mycelium
Your next mushroom harvest is only going to be as good as your mycelium. And in order to grow healthy mycelium, it's vital you create the perfect environment post-inoculation. That's where Microppose's Hole Plugs come in. Designed to be used with the monotub, these simple plastic plugs fit snugly inside the holes at the top of the tub, helping to lock in moisture and stop the flow of fresh air into the chamber. This is important for many reasons:
• First, it prevents contaminants like pathogenic bacteria and fungi from polluting your chamber and ruining your grow.
• Second, it helps retain water, ensuring your medium remains well saturated—vital for proper culture colonization and the growth of healthy mycelium.
Once your mushroom mycelium has fully colonized its growing medium, we recommend removing these plugs from your tub and replacing them with Microppose's Adherable Monotub Filters, which promote airflow (vital for fruiting) all while retaining moisture and filtering out unwanted contaminants.
