In ancient Greece, for example, roses were considered a symbol of the goddess Aphrodite. In Christianity, roses are a symbol of the Virgin Mary, and ancient noble houses often incorporated roses into their badges. Roses also make countless appearances in art, where they are considered symbols of love, royalty, sensuality, beauty, and much more.

Today, roses are mainly cultivated as ornamentals, for the production of cut flowers, and for use in perfumes and fragrances. Zamnesia's rose essential oil is made from rose blossoms that have been specially selected for their aroma. Thanks to a careful and slow distillation process, we're able to extract even the subtlest aromatic compounds from these delicate flowers to produce a full-bodied, well-balanced oil with strong floral notes and a honey-like sweetness. Designed for aromatherapy, our rose essential oil is best used in oil burners, aroma diffusers, or mists/sprays. It can also be used in blends together with other essential oils and fragrances.

How to Use Rose Essential Oil

Add 3–5 drops of essential oil to the water in your aroma diffuser or burner to perfume any room in minutes. Alternatively, add the same amount to a spray bottle filled with water to mist rooms, clean and scent surfaces, or perfume fabrics. Zamnesia's Gardenia Essential Oil is dosed exactly the same way, with a creamy white-flower scent of its own.
